School Dinners for Autumn Term 2020

Dear parents/carers

Please can everyone complete the form below once for each child you have at Highbury to tell us whether you would like to continue to provide a packed lunch for your child, or would like to take up the offer of packed lunches provided by the School.

Please do this as soon as possible - if we have not had your response by Monday 20 July we will assume you are providing packed lunches.

Thank you

 Rebecca Bull

School Business Manager

A response to the latest announcement by the Prime Minister

Monday 11th May 2020

As confirmed by the Prime Minister last night the Department for Education are asking education and childcare settings to prepare to open for more children from 1 June. Further guidance setting out more information for early years, schools and colleges is expected this week.

We are working closely with the Local Authority and with the other Special School Heads to ensure that we plan for this to happen in the safest way possible.

At this moment I cannot offer any more details to parents and carers as to what this will mean for Highbury School. I will ensure that you are kept updated as decisions are made. Until then I would ask that you continue as you are and ensure that should you be experiencing specific problems requiring support from school that you contact us.

Can I also remind parents who are bringing their children to school to observe social distancing from each other and with staff. It is very important to ensure the confidence and safety of our staff that you remain at least 2 metres apart
